WIWA Black Wash equipment technology for spraying black levelling coats with different solids contents.
Foundry washes create a sealed surface between the sand and the metal, which is essential for the part to come out of the mould after casting. Black wash is applied by spraying in liquid form using a WIWA DA 10:1 low-pressure pump. Polystyrene or sand patterns can be coated. The coating helps to remove the roughness of the mould and core so that the casting surfaces are smooth. With a WIWA Airless spraying unit, significantly less material is sprayed compared to air-spray systems.
